Nicola keeps in character throughout the show, speaking with Amy’s strong Camden accent, plus dropping in a few appropriate jokes that Amy herself does in her girlish way. Nicola admits that when Amy Winehouse first hit the scene she was not aware of what the singer looked like and it was only through people telling her how much she looked like Amy that Nicola thought she should find out for herself – and sure enough – she could see the resemblance.
